You can buy aftermarket pulleys with bearings.
One example is here: http://www.germanautoparts.com/productdisplay/55825
I've used this style of filter on my 2003 EV since it was new.
Not sure of the function of the spike. The o-ring does not make a seal against anything when the filter is inserted, HOWEVER it can...
Just FYI, it is normal for the DRLs to go out when the parking brake handle is engaged (there's a switch at the parking brake handle).
Very timely postings. I think I've got a bad front right bearing...
Since there is a code set from the brake pedal switch, I'd replace that first. It's a cheap and easy fix, and I've done it on both my vans because of similar problems to those seen on your vehicle.
I would at least check the front ride height to see if it meets factory specs. The front torsion bars are pretty easy to adjust (extra-deep 27 mm socket and long handle and extension). The torsion...
The wire on the van, not on the pad.
My 2003 EVMV has a sensor in each pad (front and rear). The left front wiring harness was damaged by ice and snow, so I ended up permanently connecting the two wires to complete the circuit at that...
I thought the sensors were embedded in the pads, not available as separate items, so not sure I understand this statement.
Yes, you have ABS. Also check http://www.europarts-sd.com as a parts source.
Brake switch would be my first guess. Easy and cheap. Note: the brake lights working is not a good test, since there are multiple contacts in that switch.
Stock size on 01-03 EV was 225/60-16. I've used the original Michelin MXV4, Nokian WR-G2, Nokian eNTYRE and Hankook IPikes in that size (all are at least 102 load-rating). The eNTYREs are easily the...
I think you are visualizing the fastener incorrectly. There is a hexagonal recess inside the circle. A standard 6 mm hex key fits into this recess. It's a very common fastener type.
Sure looks like the normal socket head cap screw.
In German, but this looks to be it:
Do you have a non-Weekender MV or GLS (with Climatronic) or a MV Weekender or Camper (manual A/C and heat)?
I replaced the left and right mounts myself. The left (driver's side) was really difficult, but doable--had to disassemble the mount to get it into a restricted space. I did not replace the...
One reason for the original seat base height might be so that a European-sized battery could still fit under the driver's seat. There are other battery options, of course.
