bump thanks for parts
the longblock = head & engine block
a shortblock is only the block from the head down to the oil pan
new coolant hoses
....thats probally it really...all the electrical will swap over
lol'd so hard
man thats gotta go in the epic fail
hey its a good car still man, engines are cheap and easy to replace!!
good a simple suggestion and some checking on your end and problem found then solved
i would be extremely careful with a thread chaser/restorer
the seatbelt bolts are known to be EXTREMELY FINE threaded for their size
think of a M12 with a 0.80 thread pitch
x2 - not oem
infact its copper and it has a brass compression nut
find out where it goes and make a better replacement...
Cofle - Speedometer Cable; One-Piece Style; 975mm
be sure to heavily grease and lubricate the whole cable!...
im sure you'll find one
another alternative is an e-clip
this is for 4 door/pickup 80?81-84
you can do the urethane mod
add a bead of urethane to the bottom of the mount in the gap
ive had both sets on mine for over a year now and no signs of them raising
that or the car was originally passive seat belt
or..roll caged with shoulder straps...
you know there is a captive nut in there which the bolt must attach to
as well as the input spline and the cv flanges changed
i think 95 was the last year you could do a direct swap with an 020 from a mk3
after that several things changed making it a bit harder to...
there are some conversion threads over in the cabby and scirocco forum as well as one or two in the golf1 section
as well as several *FS* threads in the classifieds
the FS threads are a companion...
sorry from what i know the resistors are not sold separately from the blower units
you could rig up a custom "bread board" circuit board full of resistors to get it operating within specs
another thing i noticed on my 78 2 door
the hinges are obviously different and so are the bolts
they used round allen head bolts vs later 81+ which used hex bolts
doubt it, wrong wire colors and connections
engine specs? diesel or CIS? or swap?
AC or NON?
1- there is a tiny mesh screen on each injector port on the distributor
they *can* be removed and sometimes are dirty
reinstalling them or removing them not recommended...
AC equipped is the key and that relay
if you bypass the relay directly to "FULL SPEED" using some generic wiring tricks i bet the blower motor works fine
btw, "FULL SPEED" is without ANY...
thats a new one....well that distributor is trash!
btw if you want to sell it to me for parts...lol
