    1. Removing Automatic transmission shifter boot and surrounding bezel?

$50? I remember reading either on this thread or another one about what to do if that happens. Not 100% sure, but I think it involves using needle nose pliers. Ouch dude.

I replaced mine after I got a code about the turbo. After doing some research on here and everywhere else Passat related, I decided that it was a bad DV. Bought an AWE DV from ECS and installed it....

40 bucks seems a bit steep to me. For ten more dollars, I can get a pair of Ziza lights from ECS. What do you mean when you say that you wish they could be a little brighter?

      Fender replacement: any top tips?

If you use a rotary, your essentially eating at the top layer of the paint, moving it around as you're doing so.This is why polishing, or "buffing" helps cars with scratches look brand new (crystal...

      Fender replacement: any top tips?

It definitely might be. The only issue that I see is heat. Thing is, it won't be a simple pull and tug with a gadget thing to undent the car. Whoever will be doing it will have to heat that...

    20. How do you fix a screw that just keeps spinning when you want to tighten it?

They go through plastic. There's nothing except the grooves that were created by the first time the screw was drilled that is there to support it.
