Those are not my pics but the same wheels, yes they are VW factory wheels.

Set of 4 15" Avus stock wheels. Taking up space in the garage and need to get rid of them. Tires can be included but are pretty much shot and do not match. Willing to sell or trade for another set...

like 87vr6 said, replace your spark plugs and make sure they are gapped correctly, the ones he recommended are ideal. I have the exact same problem every 10k miles or so. Under heavy acceleration...

Ahh that might have been the problem, everything I read said to just turn it. Oh well, crisis averted, I just pulled the lower radiator hose.
The coolant temp sensor sits in the coolant neck...
That looks like my best option, I've got to get the tap water out and put in some real coolant. I just think it's weird that one minute it worked and the next it didn't.
Like the title says, here is the sequence of events,
1.Opened drain plug on lower radiator hose and allowed coolant to drain
2. Refilled with tap water and let run until normal operating temp...
