Any chance you'd break up the set? I only need the small piece, specifically the one that sits in front of the passengers door, just behind the front wheel well.
It's all good...I found the issue and got it fixed and working.
With all your very helpful suggestions I tracked the issue down to the low/high selector in the turn switch.
Ended up being just...
I have 12v from the red power on pin 30. 0v on pin 56, ignition on. I do get 12v on pin X with ignition on.
Do I have a terminal in the wrong spot? Something else?
Here's a picture of the back of the light switch:
Good to know. That's BLK/YEL at the light switch and at the ignition switch. I have relay 18, and I'll need to test for voltage and verify it works.
Since I get 0v at the fusebox I suppose it...
Just ran across this, and I had the same issue. I had a 12v connector in the wrong spot in the connector to the light switch and nothing worked, so you'll want to verify all the pins are in the...
Gents, I'm having issues with my headlights. First, this car has been hacked into by the PO, but it seems to be localized to the headlight harness, so I have decided to relay the headlights. The...
Really like your thread, and great work!!
Wondering what to do with this patina...I have a twin to yours:
Really cool! Please keep us updated on your progress :thumbup:
Right on. I thought you had another Rabbit a while back that was for sale. Must have been someone else. What's your GLI? Don't want to go OT, do you have a build thread?
Glad to see you're still kickin it on the West side :D (of MT)
You still have your other Rabbit, or did you sell it?
I had exactly the same issue just last week with my CIS Caddy. I had to add some gas to the tank, jump the pump to prime the fuel system, and then it started and ran fine.
Maybe I missed it, are...
Really cool! They are so simple and easy to work on it's ridiculous. What's the back story on that guy, why was it sitting for so long?
Cyclops cluster and the manual hood latch reminds me of my...
Dood, that's a score and it shouldn't take much to get back on the road. How'd you apply the CLR?
We may be kindred spirits with the survivor look...here's mine when I picked it:
And, axel is actually spelled axle.
Updated my local group, thought I should update the MKI group.
Going to get going on this again. Didn't lose interest, but just got too busy over the summer.
I found and swapped the...
I see your edit there, and I'm glad you found the spot for the bracket and the bolt.
The small plastic cable holder sits on the stud at your PS reservoir and it holds the cable to a sensor in that...
Doubtful it's the sensor - the rubber o-ring has probably shrunk and hardened. I'd replace both the sensor and o-ring and I bet your leak stops.
Should be easy to swap the sensor out, it's a good place to start. If your flange seal is leaking you'd of course want to change the flange.
