I think she and Sam would hit it off. Sam is a smartie.
I know, I know!
But Sam is such a good sport and traveling companion and even she was like "Do you mean you want to drive all the way there in your car? Wouldn't you rather ride in a nice, new...
Aaaaaand, looks like I'm IN!
Me and the missus (girlfriend - Samantha, aka "Sam") are planning on rolling with the PA/NJ/MD/DE/? group (assuming there is one) and rolling in Friday, hanging for...
Wanted a garage since I was a kid. Took a little to get mine together, but I love it:
Very interesting! Thanks for the input.
Start the car with *both belts removed*. Don't run it for too long, as you'll have no water pump. But that will allow you to determine whether or not it's the ancillary bits that are causing the...
Thanks for the info/input, guys. Keep it coming!
Please keep in mind the fact that some products are designed for removing rust, others for unclogging drains, etc. and many contain the same...
Hey, El T!
I'm still around. Not enough time to work on my car, no gatherings in a long time, you know the drill. I do miss you guys, though.

Congrats on the new acquisition! Glad to see that one went to a good home.
Would you consider shooting the car with clearcoat? It will be 'easy' at this point; just scuff and spray. The car is already apart and the clear will add the durability you need.
Fixed pics (mostly).
Stellar work, as usual.
Did you consider acrylic urethane? While it's true that the isocyanates are nasty, the urethane has better UV resistance. You'll likely have faded paint...
Here's a photo of the top edge of the hatch...a part you can't really see when the hatch is mounted. The very light rust (that's all there was) has been removed, as well...
OK, here's the basic list of things that I need to do. Hopefully, writing out the list will help motivate me:
Touch up rear hatch, install glass and reinstall on the...
They overtightened the belt, which is very common. The 8V belt should be able to be twisted 1/2 turn at a point halfway between the pulleys.
Forgotten.....but not gone.
I have vowed to get some work done this spring.
