I did not make this one, it is still in my mind because front and headlight has to be removed and I don't have enough time at the moment. At this moment I used flexible led bars with switchback...
I used switchback led with a canceller. They are in sunlight not as bright as original ones. So that is why I ordered leds from exled with a controller. But still no time to install. Check...
good news, since 2013 ZF Netherlands do the same service as in germany. also the same price € 450 ex vat. incl. filter, oil, cleaning and change of some small parts of the megatronic unit.
At the moment not, and it is pretty dark in there. I just connected the new wiring to the existing ones. Also I planned an improvement with better lights
How did you solve the poor gps signals in the phaeton. When I use Google maps inside the car I got a bad gps signals. Even with Tomtom or navtec systems.
I think they are just held with some clips and can be removed by pulling the light totally.

Try to push the lid down, and then unlock
It is a mechanical lock and can be unlock by pulling a cable but I think you have to remove the panel inside the bootlid, but that is probably impossible when lid is closed.
So you can't unlock?
At the bootlid you can stick the key in the VW emblem. Turn the key and gently lift the bootlid. After that read you fault codes or try to re-adapt the bootlid. Check this procedure in the sticky...
