Thanks for the response. I did some better Googling today and found THIS that adds some detail to the process. Sounds do-able... but still kind of scary.
I have read BrokeVW's instructions for a 5th gear swap and it looks daunting, to say the least. I thought I remembered hearing long ago that you didn't have to remove the trans to do a 5th gear swap....
Still interested in one for my OEM quad round setup. Possibly fog lights also, if that's an option.
Is that the European noose? Very OEM+
OP - If you're not sure of the color you want to go with, an easier (and maybe cheaper) option would be to experiment with different color pinstripe tape. Lots of colors/widths available. LINK.
K Mart day was kind of lame, but they did have the new Caddy casting. And The Homer! And a couple Treasure Hunts. OK, maybe it wasn't that lame.
FYI for any Hot Wheels collectors - The first K-Mart collector's event is this Saturday (2/14). Details HERE. Be sure to take that special someone there for Valentine's Day, they'll appreciate it.

To your original question, yes - Dynamat or a decent knock off (I used Fatmat in my GTI) on the...
Interested in a quad light setup pending pictures and price.
Got the timing belt cover today. Thanks! Good seller here, folks.

Thanks for the advice, especially about leaving the fabric larger than the hole in order to wrap the edges.
I forgot to mention in the original post but I'm using aftermarket 5.25"...
I recently picked up a set of pristine late Recaro door cards. The only issue for my application is that they don't have the speaker cut outs in the door pocket area. I'd like to know the best method...
Free bump because DAMN that's a nice looking interior. I usually am not a fan of plaid but this is a great (more subtle) color and it looks really well done.
Thanks for the quick update, Manny. I've been wishing my car was equipped with this. I'll have to give it some thought!
