Ok this made me laugh... :D
Na, you can see all those things on the Internet. Yawn...
Is this whole thing troubling you a lot?
As already mentioned, the southern half of the factory will eventually move to full MQB production (Beetle will be last to move). New Tiguan and Jetta VII will come first.
Alfa Romeo's press website says a 7pm European reveal. So 11am PT/12pm CT/1pm ET.
Hopefully Alfa remains healthy long enough to enjoy some of this... :D
Right, right... Forgot about those.
Hoo boy, 1.12 things complained about in the first 3 months of ownership as an industry average. In fact less than 1 problem per vehicle between the worst car and best car on that list.
The bigger question is whether that just divides things up too much ending up with TCL suffering because the build threads aren't there anymore and the build threads suffering because they aren't in...
When Volkswagen was looking at different solutions for a V6 in the MQB platform, they tested a LOT of different configurations ranging from various displacement VR6 engines, to the turbo inline-5 to...
Correct. So long as the original platform sheet metal will support AWD - current Jetta and Beetle do not without modification for example.
No, that's what I meant. A Golf R Wagon would be easy if the Golf R was already produced in Mexico. All the parts would swap over other than rear bumper, exhaust and suspension tune/spring rates. ...
Easy decision yes, but getting Mexico tooled up and expanded for Alltrack and Tiguan takes a bit longer unfortunately.

That would be my guess too.
However I know they built a couple of Passat mules with both single and twin-turbo versions of the newer 3.0l VR6. However those cars would be crushed at end of life...
This made me laugh... Well played...

Different things going on in the companies. Porsche is using CAFE credits for some of their products via Volkswagen Group's smaller cars to offset some of that. Ferrari has Fiat to fall back on, but...
Nice to see he got a warm Car Lounge welcome in that post. Might explain why he only posted once...
There is a 3.0l VR6 twin-scroll turbo planned for the new 3rd row SUV. However shoehorning it into a production Golf/GTI is a little tough with space and cooling from what I've heard. Given the much...
