That's not true. The MKVI LED tails have amber turn signals on the rear. At least mine do. The new MKVII LED tails have red turn signals if you don't do the wiring harness.

I fixed my earlier post. I meant to say 235/40/18 is common. I use 235/45/17 on my MKVI and love the slightly wider and taller fit. I'm hoping to do something similar on an MKVII one of these days,...

That's exactly what I thought would happen with that set-up, but it seems lots of GTIs manage it and even slightly more aggressive fitments, e.g. 8.5" wide wheels with ET45 offset and/or slightly...

The Deautokey reverse lights are what you want. They're bright for sure and error free in the LED tails.

This might be too simple of a solution. If it's just the lights that are going down, they come back on if you turn on the headlights. There is a light sensor to remind you to turn on your lights in...

I always thought that very often the rubbing was on the plastic liner, not the actual fender lip or screw. That can be true especially when the tires are slightly taller, e.g., a wider a tire with...

They changed the interval to 130,000 miles early in the MKVI run, I think in 2011. I also saw a post that the Canadian cars had a longer interval even in 2010. I bet they didn't change anything about...

I'm sorry it's never flat in the MKVII. With the back seat bottom in it's flatter than the MKVI, but still not really flat. With the seat bottom out, it's tilted down. In the MKVI you can get a very...

Thank you! Please do tell me about your experience with 19" x 8.5" ET43 and 235/35/19 tires! If that works for you without rubbing, I'm sure I should be fine with 18" x 8" ET44 and 235/40/18 tires. ...
    16. 18" x 8" ET44 with 235/40/18 - will it rub?

Sorry, I'm dreaming about an MKVII GTI, maybe an R, and I have some favorite wheels that are 18" x 8" ET44. I also love to run slightly fatter taller tires. I've wanted them for a while on my MKVI,...
