In my experience this doesn't happen on Audi's (or European cars either)...

Plastic parts in European cars IMO have been made really well... never have had an issue.

I consider a bad back seat to be piss-poor engineering that there is no excuse for.

My 335i, and Mk6 Golf TDI have what I consider well laid out back seat areas... Good angle on the lower cushion...

License is in wallet. Wallet is with me whenever I go out, when I'm in the car I put it in the center console so it doesn't hurt my back to sit on my wallet. When I get out, I take my wallet with me....

I use D/S mode in my 335i quite often... usually when I'm driving on the back roads, or when I know I am going to want to pass someone... faster throttle response, drops probably one extra gear, and...

The Volvo... btw it's an Inline 6, not a V6.

Good luck with spare parts of any kind with the 9-5. Volvo meanwhile can provide you with parts for their 20 year old cars in 1-5 business days (I...

Electricity prices are high in Europe... wonder if that is part of the problem. Or that the extended range motor isn't a diesel, and doesn't really get great fuel economy when active. It's probably...

Is your foot on the gas? Maybe the throttle body is sticking and needs to be cleaned up. Maybe a problem with the electronic pedal sensor (E-throttle on an 05' GTI).

I'd say $5-5.5k is a reasonable price. It's a 10 year old car, something has to give. Like crushed 20th said, the base 2.4 is slow... this is a base model car. I'd look for a well maintained 2.4T....

He's right... no car should have major breakdowns in only 53k miles (about 80k kms). Especially not a $40k Japanese car that with the exchange rate at the time could be built with about a $60k cars...

 In terms of optical geometry. By the looks of things the LED is side firing. I can't even begin to imagine what type of corrupted beam pattern this would produce.

      Seriously people,...

What I find funny about the Smart Car is how badly it drives in the city... the gearbox in those things (I've driven a 1st gen diesel, and a facelift model gas) is atrocious... it's like driving with...

Not much of a point for use as a 2nd family vehicle. Diesel engines like to be worked/used as intended. For hauling the family go for an SUV if you want the capacity of a truck with some extra space....
