+1. I've flown with lots of former military pilots. Some excellent sticks, some horrific.
A good time, but nothing near disaster. These things are plenty overpowered for this scenario. I once flew a 767-200ER that, when light, clocked from brake release to FL320 in 9 minutes. :laugh:
Oh man, I love my light twin...unfortunately I haven't flown a 757 since 2011 though, and Atlas doesn't have any. Just glad I got to check that box!

About 3 months! Just finished IOE, actually. Great step up in all respects from Omni. Atlas basically poached myself and a number of others with prior 767 experience.
Very scary scenario... I'm now flying freight for Atlas, though on the 767 rather than the 747. Load shift is one of the "keep you up at night" situations along with lithium battery fires.

Busted. I was thinking about our non-FADEC jets. ;)
We have 7 767s, 2 of which are non-FADEC. Also, our RB211 757 is non-FADEC. Definitely prefer the FADEC from a pilot's perspective.

Very true. That's why we train to commit to a go around. Once you hit the "go" switches, you're taking it back in the air, even if you touch down momentarily.
You absolutely can (and should) go around after that kind of bounce. It'll touch back down as the motors spool, but that's not a big deal; you'll avoid the nose slam, which is undoubtedly what caused...
This has happened a number of times to the 767-300; as far as I know, most have returned to service.
