I have no complaints with the 19" Cadiz wheels for DD much to my surprise. I actually tend to keep it in "Race" most of the time except when my wife is along. I may switch to 18"s for winter.

I agree. Seems that LSG (while lovely) may be the least tolerant to dark wheel choices. I'm leaning to either keeping the stock Cadiz or something along the lines of the silver RSe10s for winter...

I have always felt the same way about the European LED tails. Too expensive and the look didn't do it for me. However, I have to say that in the case of the mk7, the European tails really make the...

I was considering the 4-Motion badging as well--if only on the off chance that I was ever towed (this is NYC after all) they would have a way of knowing it was AWD. Any tow operator is otherwise...

Borla seems to have the best "bass note" of the exhausts that are available. I have one and it is not obnoxious at all. No drone to speak of.

The MKV R32 wheels were ~27 lbs. Switching to lighter wheels (OZ UL), 2-piece rotors, and switching out the steel spindle and A-arms to Passat ALU bits made a...

Or wait a bit...seems many MKVII owners want to sell their 19" Cadiz wheels immediately upon receipt of their pre-ordered vehicles. They'll come shod with RE50 summer rubber. Might be worth waiting...

Is that your "all in" cost with insurance, gas, depreciation, and maintenance; or only the payment?

I'm trying to figure out how you guys do it. As a couple, my wife and I spend ~20% of our take...

Do we need to specify the dealer at the time of preordering? Or can we shop around for dealers after we put down a deposit? I'm guessing the former, so one needs to get the PP agreement before one...

Between the wife and I we have 2 cars and we devote about 3.5% of our after tax income (after maxing out our 401K contributions) on those two vehicles (2008 Q7 and 2008 R32). That figure is based on...
    16. porting over MKV brake/suspension goodies to MKVII?

I tried to see whether this had been discussed, but not much came up. I have a MKV R32 with Ohlins coilover setup, and a bunch of weight-lowering mods to the front. Any chance of replacing the...
