I have no experience with the 16V engine vacuum set-up, but I know on the G60, the FPR vacuum source is directly from the intake manifold, not the throttle body. The idea is that at idle (low...
look here for the procedure to read boost pressure:
It is not exactly "a" formula, but a series of calculations. I disassembled the code in the binary, and then built a calculator that mimics the same calculations the ECU does in VB6. I use my...
It is not linear, I calculate open loop fueling as follows:
500 ohms = 2.398 msecs
525 ohms = 2.382 msecs
750 ohms = 2.272 msecs
@ 37.5 mbar, 800 RPM, 14 volts, ECT @ 87 deg C
Just so you know:
500 to 525 ohms is only an open loop adjustment of .67% (reduction in pulse width)
going from 500 ohms to 750 ohms - you get a 5.25% reduction in injector pulse width.
I had some thoughts about your issue.
I looked at the Fueling in the BBM 16VG60 and it is approx 2.48 msecs at 800 RPM & 37.5 mbar (approx idle) this is the same in a stock G60 chip at idle, so...
I have never tried, but the code is in the chip to do it.
These are the ones programmed:
0000 - end of fault codes
1111 - Internal ecu failure.
2121 - Idle switch on throttle body or...
Yes, CO content is synonymous with A/F Ratio. 0.1% CO = 14.72 AFR, 3.5% CO = 13.20 AFR, 6.9% CO = 11.93 AFR
Are you running a CO pot on your set-up? if so 500 ohms is the approximate value...
Does this help at all?
It is possible to add code to the chip and send out info via the MIL line. Once you understand it, not too hard to do. I did this for a guy in France for his father's VWMS Golf years ago. It does...
How much for the fuel rail? Is it the old school one that is all one piece or are the mounting brackets separate and attached to the rail with little Allen bolts?
The old version of netscape is on the original Bentley CD. I use a VMware image of XP that has Netscape installed. You need to start netscape first and then open the software. I also mount the...
How do you know its running rich - do you have an O2 gauge? If so, is it connected to your O2 circuit/sensor? If so, try disconnecting it (O2 gauge) and see if it improves. When I had my gauge...
it means the following:
VW Part number = 037 906 022 CQ
Bosch Part number: 0261 200 344
Software Number = 1 267 356 351
Checksum = 0x93F7
Single Timing Map code version
is it 037 906 022 B? Do you have an eprom burner? If so, I can send you the Original binary electronically and you can burn your own.
If you have the ECU, then post the part number on the label.
I would bet you have:
037 906 022 B with Purple label
Original Chip label would be:
1 267 356 189 - which is a single timing map...
You really need to specify which ECU you have and the year of your Corrado, Auto/Manual, California version or not, to determine the chip that you need. There are 2 basic versions of original chips...
Yes - the old Bentley CD before E-bahn
Do you have a gauge connected to the O2 sensor? If you do, try disconnecting it. I had a DuoStyling O2 gauge that was affecting the O2 signal voltage to the ECU. The car was fine cold, but always...
