I picked up a Motobecane Mirage SLX mid-summer. I've put just shy of a 1000 miles on it.
Only problem I had was a click in the bottom bracket which was fixed by re-greasing and re-torquing it....
Save me the trouble of trying to sell it. Insurance company would probably give me more for it than any sane person anyway.
Smear used gear oil over it. I guarantee you won't smell the coffee anymore.

You can probably save some money by building the frame and adjustments out of stock extruded aluminum parts from 80/20 and just having the fire box fabricated from steel....

You've been told several times what is wrong with your car. Oil changes and seafoam won't fix it.
FYI. When my pickup tube started to clog I never got a low oil light.
Honestly, if you are going to take this thing to Audi for all its repairs it would probably be cheaper to just buy a brand new...
The 0-40 you have in it now is fine.
Rotella is a good oil but there is no reason for you to drain what you have in there now to switch. It will make absolutely no difference in the chain rattle....
