insurance company is not required to put oem on. if an aftermarket is available they can write for it...the body shop has such a markup on prices and if the price is that close they will match oem......

From my veiw.. Bumper, hood, grille, both fenders and headlights, condenser, rad,, shroud ,rad support, blend both ft doors and repair a pillars, windsheild, and the mess under hood.
Different rules for different states, but in CO a total is a total no matter the scenario...CO is not strict on its t/l process when retaining salvage. As long as you own the car out right no salvage...
We get salvage values and run analysis for repair vs t/l using those bids.
Salvage values for hail are pretty high in most states..going to the auctions in Pa most are shipped out of the country.
Get an estimate. Rates will not change..I work for GEICO and here in Denver helping out with the hail.
