Scuderia Moose... I have one on my XC70
Reminds me a little of this:
Thread has lots of good advice, but it all depends upon what you want out of your car. Are you looking for a competitive track-only car, or a daily driver that can see a few track days per year... or...
Ticking/clicking/rattle near the exhaust? I'd check the heat shields first.
Good luck
This came up a long time ago when the cars were new... IIRC, one of the more popular coilovers would raise the height by about 1/2 inch when put at the max height. I can't for the life of me remember...
When I did my first track day about 10 years ago, the car was as stock as it was when it left the dealer... Which ever company you go with will have some kind of tech inspection for you to do before...

The motor is bulletproof if well maintained, check the clutch, AC, suspension bushings, fuel pump, electrical bits etc... 14 years and 200k miles on it's just another used car, so anything could be...
You only go around once... buy the car you want.
Take care of it (you probably would anyhow), wash it regularly, do the best you can for as long as you're able... drive it and smile.
That's the first I've seen of rust on the body of a MK4 R... Our cars are getting old :(
Other than that, looks like a sweet ride and I wish you many miles of happiness!
