I had the same issue with the Eurocustoms stage 2 tune as well. Anything above 3k rpm with anything less than full throttle would result in these nasty boost spikes/fluctuations.
I changed tunes...
Calipers have been on for a while, but m running my "winter" tt fat fives for now.
FYI- it would have worked, just needed to unscrew the studs from the head and use their supplied bolts instead.
in looking at the pics on the FTG website, as well as pics of ebay turbos, it looks to be just that.

They will work with zero problems. You just won't have the slide forward ability that your old seats have.

I cut mine in half. Reinstalled the lower half with the dust boot.
