The gen3 motors have been known to blow turbos when tuned. Not all... But it's happening. Just my input. I'd say go for a 2013 (gen1) GLI but I'm kinda biased ;)

In the past week I took it to Louisiana... got APR K04, stage 2 DSG tune, and APR Mobile... went to Nola Speed and Style... And had a blast.
Confirmed valve float so springs soon I guess!
Yesterday installed the H7rc HID kit and did yellow laminx on my fogs. Today will be installing APR Carbonio intake....
Just installed today. They look wonderful! The install SUCKED for me. Couldn't get the driver side bulb back in. I wish the bulb and the OEM bracket would connect like the OEM bulb but that's okay....
I am running stock bolts with 5mm spacers and have been on the same setup for years. Any larger of a spacer and you'd definitely need to go up.
