PM it to Verrukt to have it added to the software list. And I agree, Konfab rules. I was writing a widget to interface with my phpTodo list, but never finished it. I should wrap that one up at some point.

http://www.konfabulator.com/This is a great little desktop utility that allows you to park "widgets" all over your desktop. There are many different types of widgets that can be used. There are games, battery meters, mini slideshows, clocks, weather stations...the list goes on and on. The great thing is that it's easy to make your very own widgets. They provide instructions on their website.

Konfabulator seems fairly useless. It eats up your system resources and clutters the desktop. I used it for awhile, and then gave up. My computer runs much faster now.-Jason

I haven't noticed it slowing down my system. Of course I really only use it when i'm playing one of the games.

I didn't actually notice a difference, but of course if it's running, it's using resources. And I did not appreciate my desktop being cluttered with things that I thought I *might* want to look at sometime in the future but wasn't necessary on a constant basis. So I dumped it.

Same. I found it to bring up processor use, which on a notebook means reducing battery life. It's info was always under things... OK, so it has some nice weather icons. But I know I can look up in my menubar and see the current outside weather via Meterologist. Always on top. Same with the 37 clocks made for it... I don't need a beautiful anti-aliased ticking grandfather clock hiding on my desk somewhere to be found, I need to know what time it is right now. I glance to the top right corner and get on with things.Konfabulator is an 8 for pretty pictures, but a 4 for being useful.
Now if I could run it on my 20th Ann. Mac in my living room... I might appreciate it there. A pretty clock, well designed weather graphics and a live updating baseball ticker would be appealing. Difference is that's an entertainment center, not the computer I get work done with.

Yeah, I'd probably appreciate Konfabulator more if I had a bigger screen, like a 23" Cinema screen with its gazillion by bazillion resolution. I'm working on a 12" screen with 1024x768....my screen space is very valuable.
