    So, are we actually going to see an R32 for sale here? or...

    is this just a big waste of time? really...

    I've been hearing, and reading about this forever...I fisrt read about a two-door,4-motion VW Golf with a 6-speed, 204 hp engine in the OCTOBER 1999 "CAR" magazine. 4 years ago!!!

    whats up VW?

    Yesterday my dealer told me January but he said it is only his guess because VOA is keeping everything hush-hush on the .:R for some reason.

    Jamie, if you know more details on MSRP and arrival date PLEASE DISH!!!

    and that car promptly went on sale in Europe and just about everywhere else as the Golf 4 motion Highline (ie top trim level Golf). We eventually got the 6 speed and the 24V VR6 engine (making 200 instead of 204 hp) but no AWD.

    The first time I read about something resembling the R32 was in an issue of Car (oct 01, happen to have the issue in front of me...) it was then called the Golf RSI because it shared engine displacement, and AWD with the Beetle RSI...

    Shortly there after the Golf RSI was shown at essen show, it was renamed the Golf R32 went on sale in europe late in 2002, we are currently awaiting it over here in 03.
