    Thread: Tire pressure on 195/65/15

    1. 12-19-2003 08:45 PM #1
What is the recommended tire pressure on a 04 Jetta GL. The door jam sticker says 33psi in the front and 42 in the rear?!? Does that sound too excesssive or is that normal with the VW?

      Thanks

looks low but it's recommendet by factory
it's perfect for tire wear.I always put what gas cap say in half load
I have 16" rims so I keep 28/26.Never got problem with tire wear.

yeah i know, but i actually usually roatate between to high and to low to help try and even it out... its hard to get perfect tire wear

Doesn't seem too out of line. It may depend on what size tires, or full load versus light load, as well. If that's what is printed on the door jamb or inside the fuel door, that should be the recommended pressure.

Remember when replacing worn out tires to make sure that the replacement tires can handle the pressure specified for the car.
