Is that the Fondy sports park? I didn't realize they had dirt tracks and all, sounds sweet! I'm even thinking maybe meet ?halfway? at the dells for Big Chief, or just to look at the cute lifeguards and hot pieces of a$$ that come up from Chicago

Well I'm sure most people have seen my car but here is a pic to keep the thread going. The wheels have since been sold, waiting to get something different sometime soon.

Not working on it yet, actually, the wrong two cars are parked next to each other. The one your thinking about is on jackstands at the other end of the shop with no suspension. Stop being a hater, he'll get it done someday.....someday....someday....

Weather is fine if you know how to drive. AFAIK part of the beltline was closed and part of 90 is/was closed between HWY 30 and the beltline. Lots of little accidents everywhere. Funny thing is all the accidents I've seen so far seem to be soccer moms who think that because they have a $50k SUV w/ 4WD, that they are invincible.

I don't think I'm ready to part with it yet.
The 240 would be in D also, but unless you modify the heck out of it or run up two categories you'd be in stock....I'm in modified. But whatever you run we can always compare times

OK. I'll pipe in with the official forcast for Waterloo, Wisconsin. IT'S #*$&%# COLD!!!
Other than that, would anybody happen to have a spare engine speed sensor (G28) for a MK3 2.slow? I THINK that might be the cause of my problem (car problems at least). I haven't had a chance to test it yet...I'll wait till it warms up a bit. But the dealership wants $$$$$ for one (non-refundable of course) and there must be thousands of them out there.

You mean the hallsender or crankshaft speed sensor? There's so many names for that ^%$&#* thing....I got two of them that work unitl the engine reaches operating temps, then they crap out. They are very easy to swap and at least you'll know that's what's wrong with your ride. I bought one from east Z vw and it was defective, $110 + to the trash
Let me know if you want one....

Specially when you have a heated garage
And one of these days I'll actually get to replacing my clutch... I have a Spec Stage 2 clutch waiting to go in, and a '73 Honda CL 350 needing a full restore that I planned on doing this winter, too. I guess there's still time.

I mean the crankshaft speed one. Although from studying the Bently it COULD be the Hall sender too I suppose . I'll try to get out there in the next few days and pull it and see what kind of resistance I get. Then I may take you up on it. As you say, at least then I'd know what was wrong.
THANKS!
