iiznoodles....I am going in for session #2 tonight and I will post pics of it when i get home or on saturday after i clean it up a bit. hopefully i can get all the black and grey shading done and maybe a little bit of color. i am shooting for 6 hours tonight.

Got done about 1 hour ago. Cleaned it up and it looks awesome. I will post some pics in the morning after I clean it up again.

all the shading is done and the scales are red. 1 more session around the first of March and it should be complete.

I was gonna ask the same... I dont think Ill ever get mine covered up, I didnt really enjoy the marines, but it was an important part of my life for a few years. I guess everyone has their reasons though

thanks for the comments. i covered up the USMC on the arm because I couldn't find anything to add to it that wouldn't make it out of place. I wanted a whole sleeve on my right arm and that was in the way. I thought about this for about 2 years before i covered it. I had the usmc tat for 5 years. It sucked to cover it but I can always get it again somewhere else where it wouldn't be out of place and on its own.

i hate people when they see a tattoo on me, but they just have to see it without asking. it's either embarrassing or annoying.

Hell yeah I would have to say that his tattoo is probably one of the best vw tats i think I have ever seen.

I got a bit more work done on the sleeve, but still lots more to go. The camera is still broken, so I can't take any pics yet. Anyone who is going to be at waterfest this year will get to see it in person though. Just look for the girl with the leopard print sleeve. That will be me! ha ha

My friend and me are thinking abuot getting some tats done soon. He wants a tribal tattoo around his bicep and a swastika on his chest. I want the Polish eagle emblem on my left shoulder blade. I am worried about regretting it later on in life, but then again, you only live once. By the way, I am polish, so dont flame it, saying, why would you get a Polish eagle tat if your asian or something. I love the way it looks, but by getting it, it signifies me to proclaiming I am Polish for the rest of my life, something I am unsure about me flaunting later on. Not saying I am denying my heritage, but I dont want to be labeled a "DP" later on for having a Polish eagle tat.

Incorrect. If the swastika is drawn backwards, it a Hindu symbol meaning peace. The way its facing now, its a facist symbol.

the rest of the strangeness here has been addressed, but i find this particularly odd as well...

if i were to get an italian or german tattoo or something relating to my heritage, i think it's pretty self explainitory. i doubt someone would come up to me, demanding to see proof or something. why does the statement, "I want the Polish eagle emblem on my left shoulder blade" need to be followed by, "By the way, I am polish, so dont flame it, saying, why would you get a Polish eagle tat if your asian or something."

not to mention, i doubt anyone was going to think you were asian, the polish background is pretty obvious with the last name bialkowski.

i did a little research on this a few years ago... the origin of it had to do with four words starting with L's, and if you put them all together you get the design we all now know as a pretty obscene symbol.

there's a lot of info out there, it's easy to find.

I mean, get whatever tattoo you want....its a free country. Im just saying that a swastika is probably not that great of an idea (and yes, i know you arent the one wanting it) simply because of all the impications it makes about you and your beliefs. I am well aware that it wasnt a bad symbol before hitler came along, but still, he kind of ruined it for the world and its one of those things that's best left to the history books

oh no no, i understand totally. i was just refering back to a post above about another meaning.

anyhow, regardless of what it was originally intended to stand for, i think anyone would agree that anyone who sees it thinks the worst.
