How to cycle the ABS pump to perform a full flush/bleed
Quote, originally posted by pal »
On the VAG-COM, go to Brakes/ABS->Basic Settings->Block 01->Go; then firmly depress the brake pedal and you will hear and feel the pump cycle and the pedal pulsate. Lift off when the VAG tell you to and flush the calipers.

R32 radiator fans are starting to konk out after about 3-4 years.
Their internal low speed resistor fails.

At the time of this post, the age of US-spec MkIV R32s is approaching 4 years
and a lot of them have been sold and bought second hand.
I created a survey to get a feel for just how common some of the problems
reported around here really are. This helps people prioritize their
preventative maintenance and gauge how much they should worry about
      a given problem.
      Original survey thread here http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3557414
      View live results here
And here's a snapshot of the results as of 12/21/07.
With 400 respondents this survey has roughly a 95% confidence level
at 4.7% confidence interval. That means that based on the results of this
survey, if you asked all 5000 owners the same question, 95% of the
results would match this survey with only a +/-4.7% margin of error for
any individual answer. (So if 50% reported a particular problem here, then
45.3-54.7% of 95% of the entire population have the same problem)
