    Thread: 300HP on 1.8T Golf GTI 150HP MKIV ?

    1. 03-19-2004 04:31 PM #1
I was wondering if its possible to get 300+-HP on a 1.8T Golf GTI MKIV 150HP (Stock) with Stock turbo (KKK 03).
Currently with a good set up, exhaust and the remap of the ECU i'm in the range of 200-210HP.
If someone could give me a hand it would be great.
      Thanks.

I think Krautfed made around 300whp on a 50 shot and some bolt-ons.

u could if u want, but you'll be way out of the k03's efficiency range ...

Which 150hp model do you have?
Engine code AWD, you're lucky if it gets to 210hp.
Engine code AWW, 220-225 is the best you can ask of it.
Any more and it'll probably melt.

Thanks for the answer, I have the AWW.
It seems that I will "give" him a little shot then.
Thanks for all; If anyone has some recommendations before I install NOS please do tell me.

dont juice too low, dont juice too high, dont run too big a shot. 50shot is nice. ask Krautfed, he has lots of experience

So is the immediate solution to change to a KO4 turbo?
I am currently thinking of doing just that.

SORRY MAN.....no way is it possible to make 300 hp from a ko3. the highest ko3sport dyno ive ever seen was 230 wheel hp which is 265 crank hp at 15% drivetrain loss, and thats a ko3sport.
show me someone that has made 300hp on a ko3. Only way it's gonna happen is some nitrous. If you want that kinda power all the time reliably every day start saving and get a turbo upgrade.
