I use to race BMX back in the mid 80's. Seemed it was more of a pretty-boy thing back then, since today I think its cooler to have a bike that looks beat. I had a Hutch with all Hutch components with the exception of Redline cranks. I was into that bike for well over a grand and keep in mind this was like 84'. This thread brings back a lot of memories. Is Hutch still even in business and does Oakley still make grips? Anyone remember the Oakley 3's (ugly grips with wings)

hey, I ride everything. street, parks, getting some trails up, learning a bit of flatland(can do steamrollers, whiplashes, short hang 5's etc.). I wish I could ride more street but theres not much to ride here in ft. collins. some good rails, 1 fullpipe, and a few curved walls but thats about it. our parks are really good though. the outdoor cement park has this really fun bowl that has a 10 ft. half capsule with pool coping, a 8ft 1/2 round bowl, up into a 5 ft square bowl with a spine into the street course. some good hips and an ok fun box too. also has a really mellow snake run beside the bowl. the indoor park has a 6 ft mini, a street spine into a really tight vert wall, a small fun box, and a micro mini with 3 ft sub box.
my bike:
dragonfly tech frame
volume forks
hoffman stem
slam bars
original profiles
odysey hazard lites
some random pegs
dia comp 990 brake/tech 77 lever
whatever sh*tty tires I got for cheap, right now some kenda thingy and a dirt monster.

i forgot to mention that a few days ago i was thinking about an old bike i owned, i ordered an sta w/ custom geometry, and had it painted from the factory that blue camo color (like rob-o had) that bike kicked a$$, sold it after awhiel and some kid stripped it and painted it, it took like 4-5 months to even get that bike from standard, wish i never sold it

I would have an account on there but they haven't been accepting new registrations in forever. Also they don't allow Hotmail accounts for names, I don't know why and its all I have. I guess I won't be on there for awhile. Anyway, yesterday I went riding, It was a pretty good day for me. I've been trying to learn manuals since I've always wanted to do them. So yesterday I did my best one yet, around 150ft. May seem small to some people but I only normally get like 50-75ft. So I was pretty stoked.

Heres two pictures of our trails. The first pic is the old trails that aren't really used anymore or cared about, but in the summer they will be. The second one is the new trails. Nice big sets, diffrent runs, big gaps. The biggest gap is 32 feet.

#27
sweet, I'll try and get pics of my new trails were getting up. we have a 6 pack of 10 footers and starting another line of maybe 15 footers with transfer possibilites. the dirt is terrible though, lots of roots and doesnt pack real nice. they are near a pond though, funny ass territorial geese that charge you, plus water for when the summer dries everything out.
we are also going to make a treeride, subbox and maybe a treehouse. we have a nice barbeque pit too, it rules. trails are awesome because your just chillin in the woods ridin your bike, so relaxing.![]()

Nope, they're Panamoka trails. I don't know of Mike Carni, I know of RookieBMX though. I used to talk to Will who made the site rookiebmx.com. But that was before I stopped, but since I started again, I'll probably talk to him.
