been in bmx for a long time now. Don't ride much anymore. Well, does rolling around with the youngstas count? Still, I have fun when I do it. Mostly make t-shirts and stuff now and just stay in touch with the industry. But on the occasions I do ride:

    Mutiny for life!
    Odyssey race forks
    Primo Powerbites
    Mutiny blackball front wheel (36)
Odyssey cassette (old style) to ALex supra J (36)
    You get the idea...

hell yeah i ride, i didnt think anybody else did it anymore, I have been riding bmx racing then freestyle for about 15 years now. Heres a pic of the newest bike. No action shots, sorry.

I usually have no pegs on the bike (so tired of doing grinds and stall, plus i wanted to get better at manualling ledges) but i got an itch to ice pick this one huge natrual sub box.

I worked at woodward for a few weeks a few years ago, it wasnt that fun. Now I just go for a few days here and there, I'm lucky I have the connections to go down anytime I want to now. I honestly get tired of the place after a day or so and want to leave.

Bump for ridin, I used to ride alot, and then i smashed my head into the ground and sustained 3 skull fractures, 2 blood clots, and a brain abrassion. after i recovered the doctors told me i couldnt even get on a bike for 1 year. after a year all my friends had quit riding, i tried to get myself and them back into it but was never successful. It was by far one of the worst decisions of my life, i miss it so much and am slowly trying to get back into it

yeah i went to woodward, and broke my GT frame whilst i was there too! and i woke up one morning and one of the omish guys was taking a shower in our bunk (right after they remodled the outside street for the B3 comp they had like 4 or 5 years ago)

if anyone is interested i dont really ride anymore, no-one to do it with in my area, and i have a 20" STA F+F freecoaster hub in rear and all the usual stuff, needs new front wheel, tires, new brake cables, and maybe some pedals, but other than that its in good condition, lemme know if you interested, i'll let it go for pretty cheap

Anybody know anything about the trails I saw last week in DC? Right there in the woods by a I-495 onramp. Looked like a couple big sets of doubles and some smaller stuff.

Hello! I found this thread finally!! ...umm yeah I ride and will ride until i cant no mo! Striclty Street/Dirt style.

I used to race pit (16') bikes back in jr. high, i would re-gear them with a 44 tooth sproket and keep the small cranks, they would friggen haul booty once you got them going!

    Here's meh ride now:

    Haro 1A-Team

    bang reggae music

  27. 01-01-2005 02:04 PM #167
yeah kerry sayre! one of my favorite people in the bmx community.

heres a good little writeup on the vortex bmx badass himself!
    http://www.infantrybmx.com/11/mc/kerrysayre.htm
i have been into bmx for about 15 years. its been my absolute passion and not a day goes by where i dont think about it for hours on end. i often wonder if that feeling will ever go away. i honestly havent been super into riding for about the last 3 years on a die-hard basis, but im still into it bigtime. i have a first generation barcode that i ride on the ramps, and i also have a super rare flatland bike which i would say i do more often. it is a level industries designed by kevin jones and tex thayer that only 13 frames were ever built. i put in time here and there but honestly its hard to find time any more. i have two kids now and i have owned and operated one of the best parks in the country for bmx. section 8 skatepark is now the passion that has taken up the time that normally would have been occupied by riding. check it out sometime if your bored. http://www.section8skatepark.com

and this is my money pit

  28. 01-01-2005 02:13 PM #168

love the bowl and curved wall great job.

I have also been to woodward tons of times. It is a blast but after 2 or 3 days im ready to go.

well i would ride if it wasnt for the fact that my bike was stolen and havent had the $ to replace it being as i bought my jetta and it was stolen with in a week from each other. to make things worse I had built my bike up 1 month before it was stolen and had riden it once before i had to go in and have reconstructive surgery on my shoulder (quad+3" snow+snowboard=bad idea) I waited 3 months to ride and the week before i was gonna start again it was stolen. I think as soon as i sell a bunch of the crap off my gli im parting i will start to rebuild. cant wait to ride again, especially since they just built a new park w/ a 16 ft fullpipe and 8ft snake run/ bowl bout 10 min from my house.

I wonder what the correlation between vw's and bmx bikes is. I used to ride and am thinking of starting again with my old bike. The only thing is that after riding fixed gear for so long it's really weird to be able to freewheel. My old ride. . . I can't remember much, but it was an S&M challenger, nuke proof hubs, sun (?model?) rims, primo cranks, pitchfork, and that's all I can remember right now.

  32. 01-02-2005 01:28 PM #172
Section8 has always been a fun time. Even before that park it was fun to go to Youngstown and ride the old warehouse. Soon I will be back Steve, I promise.
