Thread: Display Cars should be eligible for judging...................this year.

  1. 04-05-2004 08:51 PM #1
Just as the topic states, I feel that cars in the Vendor area should be eligible for judging........ Last year, I was asked by HPA Motorsports to place my car in their display.... I liked the fact that my car was in the display area, but was hoping that it could be judged for the car show portion of Waterfest. The prior year my car placed 1st in its class at Waterfest and 3rd at H2O..... I was a little disapointed when I showed up this past year and the officals said they wouldn't be judging the car because it was a display car.

Anyway, maybe this year the staff at Rapid could change the rule.....

simply enter your car in the show instead, problem solved.

imo it'd be a pretty big conflict. lots of cars in company booths are pretty trick -- what if a class was swept by company cars? people would be up in arms that sponsors got preferential treatment....

Yea, i see your point...... I never thought about it that way. Companies would probally sweep the awards seeing as they have unlimited funds.... therefore unlimited mods...... Good point...... Maybe I will just show the car this year.....

    I like that idea

Expenses in F1 have gone down since the 1960s because teams don't need an extra pit crew to help the driver carry around his balls when he is not in the car.

If your car is a display car for a sponsor wouldn't everything one think that you won since your with a sponsor and that they got screwed ??
