You guys will have to make allowances...my wife and I just got this wagon 3 days ago. Waiting for suspensions and whatnot to arrive next week.

The konig glides were on there for the day. Just trying it out for the fun of it. It belongs to my other car Bessie.

i guess he figures the .:R badge means more than .:R32. It is the symbol for VW racing after all. So it's technically not exclusive to the R32... VW is now selling .:R line accessories like mats, shift knobs and so on. So, why not an .:R badge on your car? I say do what you want...

True, but to me, it seems like putting an M badge on a non-M BMW. Kind of retarded...

      ahhh... MkIV elitism...

the folks over at VW and Votex in Germany seem to think a little differntly... http://www.volkswagen-zubehoer...e.htm

.:R is a little bit different than M Power... just look at the Audi S-Line. You can get a TT or A4 with S-Line trim and what not, but they are not the TT-S or an S4.

      down with the badge police!!

Ahh, an R32 Elitist. No one else should have an "R" badge except you. I'll go out to the garage right now and tear it off. Sorry to offend you.

Actually, my R32 was debadged a few days ago. I just don't understand why people put badges on their cars that don't belong. Call me the unofficial badge police.

anyway, this thread wasn't meant to be a debate on badges- besides badge issues are beaten to death... just quit.

The same reason we get tattos, the same reason we wear underwear with other dudes names on it (Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren etc.), the same reason everybody has a hat/shirt with their favorite team on it. Its just not that important.

the R badge is appropiate if he is trimmed out with R accessories such as, floormats, steering wheel, petals, 3.2 liter VR6 HAHAHA!!! Its great to see a bunch of wags around. Heres another shot of mine from this weekend... take a look at the streak behind my car I think it might be 2 low for the street.

Killakemp.... did you want my wing? If not does anyone else want it?

Well, I've got the "R" Steering Wheel, Floormats, and Pedals, so I guess that qualifies me for the "R" Badge.

not chrome...completely polished. They are factory forged Audi A8L wheels.

I don't have a pic of mine, but it's a stock indigo blue TDI Wagon anyway... I do have some upgrades planned as the funds become available:

SpeedTuning power chip (have it; need the time to install it...)
      DieselGeek steel skid plate
      TDIHeater
      Shine Racing Real-Street Kit
      16" BBS RXII's

I'm not keen on body mods, so the car will retain a stock appearance.
