pull off the end caps of the rail (beware - thin plastic, but they'll didn't so expensive), clip out the middle one and you will see 3 screws... the rail is powder coated so you have to use a lot of sandpaper or a grinder... my steps are: 240 - then w/ wetpaper and a lot of water 400, 800, 1000 and more will result in better shine... at the end i use a normal metal-polish for the finish...
now throw all back on... ...hard work, trust me...

Hey guys... just got back from hawaii and noticed the hot topic is polishing rails. I did this a couple years back with ease. You do not need to sand the rails to remove the plastic coating, simply take your time with paint stripper and the clear metal will show. After I did hit with 1500 and 2000 grit before polishing to a mirror. Can complete in a weekend with a smile on your face.

This is the stuff I used. One good coat will start the etching process. After 30 mins you can wipe off and start over again. Do it about 3-4 times and you should be set. I also had some plastic rasorblades that I love using

What's the biggest roof cargo box that will fit on the wagon and still be able to open hatch fully?
Looking at the Yakima Skyboxes 16 or 21.
Thanks,
Rey

The R rear came out good How did you run the exhaust? With the spare tire well there is not enough room for a R muffler. Were you able to fit it behind the big bumper?

It is is anything like mine, it is most likely in front of the spare tire and down the right side.

I'd buy that for a dollar. Damn that bodywork came out amazing. Gutsy move on keeping the moldings but that makes it truly one of a kind.

The exhaust is stock R32 lengthened at the tips. The whole pan is swapped for an R32. It is AWD and everything. So fitment is exactly as it would be on an R32.

Very well done.... I like it with the moldings intack. Looks like whoever did the bumper did a very nice job. Also the black pillars make it look really long.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. One of my biggest personal gripes with my R front and rear bumpers is that I lost the rub strips. I have always loved your R wagon, hats off on a continually impressive job.
