The 2nd is Mitsubishi.*crosses fingers for McLaren and Jaguar, Williams, Mindardi, Jordan and maybe even Renault and BAR *

First comp word is 'Lancer' - if you win the Evo, I want a drive. And I don't blame Sato for having a go, even if it did turn out badly.
And he's just lost his engine.

As Rubens said, it was very 'amatuer' of Sato to do what he did... Maybe his engine failure was punishment for that![]()
#82
Does anyone know what is actually happening to Sato's engine?Everytime I drive behind a HAHAHonda now I have the dance music up loud waiting for the smoke effect

#83
Do they ever tell you exactly what happened? doubt it.. All i know was I saw masses of think white smoke pouring outLooked cool

Ralph is a dud & JPM knows it.

What has the press been saying about Montoya? I couldn't find anything other than a very clinical review of what happened in Monaco, and then yesterday, he just took Ralf out!I knew the bloke was aggressive, but how was that footage of him trying to get around Christian Klein? Wow, that guy really wants to win. Pity he can't control himself.

We watched the race in a pub in the Swiss Alps yesterday. The German commentator suggested that Barrichelo was asleep when sato went passed him...

Well, Friday practice sees ferrari fastest, bar second and Kimi third!!!!
Come on Kimi....

For everyone's information, looks like it'll be on the TV at 2:15am. Good thing we can all sleep in that morning - right?

Kimi will make a few places up front, but later his engine will blow; Ralf will be beaten into the first corner, and then spin on the second last corner of the first lap; Michael will win it in the pitstops, Montoya will snap another nosecone, and drive like crazy to catch up after replacing it; Rubens will have an uneventful race, but will finish on the podium...Jenson will also get on the podium... Any wagers, boys???![]()
Haha... reading the drivers comments, Michael was saying he has won from lower down the order, and Kimi was saying it would be nice to finish AND get some points....![]()

Looks like a pretty good grid. Hopefully Reubens can stay ahead of Kimi and I reckon Trulli will lead at the end of the first lap. A bad day for Webber?MK

The only predictions of mine which didnt come true were Ralfs spin, and Montoyas nose cone. Oh and Kimis engine blow, but he did have problems!!! I should have bet on a trifecta!!!I reckon thats a bit lame with the disquals... Good for Kimi, though... Now he is = 13
All up, a bit of a boring race... Indianapolis will be run by seppo's, so it will be full of cliched symbolism...
I might even give that one a miss!!!

Sounds like a good excuse to avoid an all nighter in front of the TV!![]()
Lucky the bike racing before last night's race was interesting or I may have missed the F1.

Ralfs first question to his doctor: "what happened?" What a stack... 320kmh backwards. Sato drove awesomely. Couldnt believe Montoyas luck, or lack there of!!! Missed out on getting into the T car by less than 2 seconds....What a race... Boring result, though....
News flash: McClaren to run new car at the french GP at Magny Cours.... Yeah, baby. Bring on a mid season revival!!!! The only driver who can beat Michael now is Barrichelo, and thats just never going to happen... Its schumies championship!!!

Raining in both Friday practice sessions.Could be an interesting grid / race if the rain keeps up.
Ralf Schumacher out for rest of the season, replaced initially by test driver Marc Gene', but may be a chance for Webber to move to Williams early.
Set the video / coffee machine for 10:30 Sunday night.

Should be a great race... Raikkonens comments:
"We only did one run today because of the weather, which is a shame. However the car felt good, but that is all I can say at the moment. There is definitely more to come as I didn't even push particularly hard. It's difficult to say how big a step forward we have taken, but it should become clear as the weekend progresses."Cant wait til Sunday night.
