Okay I was reading my Road & Track for August 2004, and I have to admit, I may hold off on supercharging my GTi if any hopes of a RS3 exists in the states. Let me quote by saying,
Quote » So what about hot versions of the A3? Audi North America has all but confirmed there will be an S3 varient of the Sportback, (what they are calling the A3 in the states) probably using a pimped-up 3.2 V-6 with around 280HP. We've also heard that an RS 3 super-hatch is under development, using a turbocharged V-6 producing an astounding 350 BHP. DSG combined with awd and improved handling--thanks to stiffer springs and shocks, larger anti-roll bars, a wider track and lower ride height--mean the RS 3 should give EVO and STi owners fits due to its superior power-to-weight ratio... An RS 3 Sportback is possible as well, with the first RS 3 cars reaching production by mid-year 2006.
All I have to say is !
I would be on a waiting list for a year for this car, 350HP stock would be beautiful in a hatch. Would anyone else besides me like to see this car in the USA? I would simply fall in love with cars all over again.
