    Thread: My headrest won't lower....

    1. 09-24-2004 10:06 AM #1
My driver's headrest on my '01 1.8 Golf is locked in the tallest position. Pushing the button and trying to get it to slide down does nothing.

Anyone else have this issue and know what to do? I'm hoping I won't have to rip apart the seat.

      thanks!
      kevin

make sure the stalks are in the correct position, take the headrest all the way out and re-install it.

thats the problem... I can't take (or lower) the headrest down. I'm talking about the height--- not the tilt.

ya i understand that , and as i said take the head rest out and put it back in, sometimes if the stalks aren't inserted correctly they won't go down

you may have to remove your apholstry on your headrest and see why the push lock is inop'. The same thing happend to me, although I was fortunate enough to have the headrest off.
