Phone Holder Insert

If you order a 5 seat Phaeton in Europe and specify a standard VW phone as a factory installed option, the car comes with a little foam insert in the armrest that cradles the phone. It just slides in place, and can be removed quite easily by lifting it up.

Below is a picture of the standard VW phone (it's the same phone used in every model from Polo to Phaeton, although you can order a different model of phone in a Phaeton). Also below is a picture of the phone holder insert, showing the part number, BD0 862 401A. The suffix B41 denotes the colour, in this case, black.

Can anybody tell me if the inner armrest is the same size as the one's in the Touareg? I'm trying to oem fix a phone into my truck

I don't know if this particular insert would fit in your truck or not. Below is a photo showing another view of it (taken from the opposite side, the driver's side) - perhaps this will help you make an educated guess.

This photo shows a different car than the photos above, but I am pretty sure it is the same phone and same part.

Hmm, I don't think it would now...

I'm gonna order it anyway and make the damn thing fit. I hate the way the phone is on the Touareg OEM. Its not clean at all.
