Here are pics of my theater. I haven't done much to it since we moved in other than set it up and tweak the sound. I still need to mount my projector on the ceiling, but I have been putting this off in the hopes of getting a newer higher resolution projector, and hopefully something that is a little quieter. Everything needs a darker coat of paint, and I need to get my X-10 dimmer switches purchased and installed. The addition of the Hunter Douglas blinds gave me the need light control for the projector.

    Paradigm Monitor CC-350 center

haha we have the same M&Ms thing and the same movie stars picture. the two movie posters we have are Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator.

how much and how big are those seats? where did you get them? our problem is our media room is too small for the size of screen we have. there are only two goods seats in the room (the back two). we're trying to find a way to re-construct the room but we're having problems with seating and the such.
    nice setup, either way.

    edit: pics.

i disallow any mockery of the quality of the pictures.

edit again: egad. i never noticed how horrible window's resizing thing is. eek.

Not dissing the quality, just one of the dolls. The Superman doll on the top shelf looks like his left leg is on tippy toe with the knee bent a la Betty Boop!

I've read and heard that you can easily put the sub behind the TV, as it's non-directional. If you scroll up to my picture (page 2), should I do that, to get it out of sight?

Yes, you can in theory. In practice, it still depends on your room. You should experiment with it and see if it sounds good in your listening position.

Picked up the seating from SoundWorld in Appleton, WI I'm not sure on the sizing

I am impressed with the setups. Some nice stuff there. I am a smaller screen kind of guy - I couldn't stand to watch a 60-inch screen from 8 feet away, although it must be impressive!

It doesn't look impressive in pictures...but in a very small 2 bedroom apartment I have:

    Hitachi 50V500 50" LCD RPTV
    Onkyo TX-SR601
    5x NHT SuperOnes
    Velodyne CHT-8 sub
Motorola 6100 series HD cable box
    Home Theater Mac

The Home Theater Mac is the best part. Hooked to the TV via DVI it does DVD upscaling as well as playing video I download from the Internet. Since I'm getting LOTR: ROTK EE for Xmas my New Years Eve party will be watching it with a bunch of friends. Hope everyone else is gone - last time I cranked it I got a noise complaint.

You ordered Paradign stuff and got it delivered? Did you go through a dealer?
I used to post a lot. Then vBulletin made it impossible to follow updates to subscribed threads. Now I don't.

Yes. Definitive Audio in Bellevue WA. They were out of room in their wharehouse and had to have it dropped off at my place. I was having them hold it until we move into our new house and could install everything. Now I get to be tempted by it at our rental until we move however.

    Regards,
    James

If you like Paradigm, also look into Energy. The place I bought my stuff liked from sold me Energy speakers, but suggested a Paradigm sub. I really like what I bought.

The Energy web site lists dealers in CT.

And, nice to see another Rotel on here.

Edit: Also, if you're in CT and want to see/hear our stuff, IM me.

Our setup, with our present projector. The foam is from Ice cream cone boxes. The cabinet's boards held up with all-thread.

Our screen. Dad taped off a section of wall, then put sheetrock mud to bring it out. Made curtains from cloth from Wally-world.

Our future profector, once we figured out how to mount it.

My dad builds houses, and makes deals with owners of stores to get it on the low-low.

too lazy to look at model #'s on the back of everything...just off the top of my head:

    Toshiba 46H84 HDTV
    Cerwin-Vega LS-12 fronts
    Aura 10" powered sub
    Aura dual 5.25" center channel
    Yamaha HTR-5730 receiver
panasonic DVD player (running component to tv)

Here's our home theater system set up in the family room

    Consisted of:

    -Sony 50" HDTV Plasma
-Paradigm Reference Fronts, Centers, and Rears
    -Paradigm PW-2200 Subwoofer
-Old Sony Receiver, DVD, VCR, and 300 CD Changer (Receiver will be replaced soon)
    -Comcast Tuner/HDTV Tuner/DVR
    -Delphi MyFi XM Radio Tuner

The AV equipment is set up in the room behind the TV. It is run off of an IR repeater system that is mounted on top of our TV and connected to a blaster in the other room. Its pimp

Excuse all the wires and stuff, we're still trying to clean up the installation. I myself actually did all of the mounting and installing, and if anyone in the Chicago area would like a HT system installed for cheap, let me know, I have references!!
