Funny about those...yes they are 401s. I have Polk Audio all around except those. I had RTi A5s for the fronts. Everything was been in storage for about the past 5 years and I hated the RTis just sitting so I gave them to my folks. Well, I finally got this house and set everything back-up...but THEY wouldn't give my speakers back!

Anyways...I found these 401s at a Goodwill for $20 and thought "what the hell." Well, short story long, they sounded good enough and balanced well with the rest of the system so I haven't even thought about stealing back my RTis.

Thanks. Put a lot of work into it...sort of.

The projector is a BenQ from Texas Instruments. I think it's a 660a and it is DLP. It was a pretty cool find at the Goodwill auction site. Picked it up for $50.

Great deal for $50! BenQ is a brand of Acer (nothing wrong with that). TI likely only made the DLP block.

Replaced my my 32" Sharp Aquos (LC32DA5U) with a new 55" Samsung 7000 Series LCD set. Best Buy's deal was too good to pass up, so I jumped on board. My Monitor Audio R225 center channel speaker is a bit too tall, as it covers up the bottom 1.5-2" of the screen. It's not pictured as I'm only running 2-channel setup at the moment.

Planning on dumping the Tascam 122MKIII tape deck and relocating that little amp to my office for keyboard duty to clear up the visual clutter. Just picked up Gran Torino on Blu Ray for $4 at Safeway- can't wait to try out the set.

    New projector today

Going from 3,000 contrast to 40,000 is an eyeopener .

Almost went for 3D but the 3D cables for 50' are retarded expensive .

I am quite impressed with the new projector !!!

= not my photo but exact projector and silver base instead of white

my 50' HDMI cable was $150 2 years ago .

between that , needing a new Bluray player
and the 3D projector being $400 more
and the glasses and the 3D blurays being more just seem more of a hassle.

    Truth... haha
i'd need an extra add on box for my "3D ready" projector that is around 300 or so just to play 3D movies, and then the added cost of glasses. and extra movies to buy... i'm right there with ya

Which model is this? I've had a 6500UB going on 2.5 years, been flawless. Still on the original bulb and I would guess about 2500 hours on it.

I've recently been getting into home audio and video equipment and here is what I have so far.

In the living room is where I'm focusing mostly all of my equipment. I have a 60" Samsung 3D LED TV and I've been wanting a nice sound sound system to compliment the tv during movies, music or playing the PS3. I recently purchased a Definitive technology 1200 watt subwoofer, Denon AVR 3312ci 7.2 receiver with Apple Air Play. It's also 3 zone expandable, and a pair of Martin Logan electrostatic standing floor speakers. The whole top section is 240 square inches of electrostatic tweeter. The speakers are amazing, the sound is incredibly crisp and the subwoofer hits hard!

Here is my setup right now, I'll be adding rear Martin Logan Passage in wall electrostatic speakers and an electrostatic center channel at some point in the near future.

    The receiver:

Just scored 4 Klipsch RP-3s(three of which are pictured) Now just have to commit and connect them in place of my sub. Though Justin Bua and Marvel Comics are represented well I do so hate wall heaters..

I really love it, it does everything I need it to do. It's my first receiver though, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Anybody have any reviews (or heard of) on this product?

    http://www.kjglobal.co.uk/acatalog/H...sound_bar.html

Getting a deal on it and wondering if it's worth my time

Edit - I should also add, it's just for a medium sized bedroom set-up.

just finished a rear tier to my theater... don't mind the mess too much, just finished it that night and my back was just about out...

also, the fridge on the left is for fermenting beer, and the chest freezer on the right is for my kegs . only spot i have in the house where they are out of sight and the only room where the GF doesn't give much of a care

Putting together a pretty decent HT system for my parents. Although they don't have a dedicated room it should be pretty nice! House is under construction at the moment but I'll have some pictures when it's done.

TV unknown at the moment. 65"+
    Denon 3312 Receiver
    Elan A6 Amp
    Paradigm AMS350's for the fronts
Paradigm Monitor 7 Center 3 for the center
Paradigm AMS-150R-30v.4's for the sides & rear
    Outlaw LMF-1 Sub

Modest, but good for a small man cave: Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K, Boston MCS 90 5.1, Yamaha 12" subwoofer, LG 32" LCD, LG Blu-Ray player, 360 Slim, in-wall cable and mounts from MonoPrice...next are some backlights/LEDs for the panel.
