    no... the stock OBD1 ABA pistons in a stock ABA OBD1 Bottom end will give a 16v head a 8:1 CR... with the increaese in the stock pistons, the 16v will also see 8.5:1 CR
    You must be thinking of a PG block, like the G60 bottom end... if I threw a 16v head on thatm i would then have a 6:1 CR

    lol... on the subject of selling stuff, I have the following for sale for any locals:

    PG G60 Block complete 8v, sold to Brice

    Corrado seats, if any one can top the offer of 120each consider them sold... great condition, minor tear on driver side

    15" MTX SVC NEVER USED SUB: look up my name under the search, i have it listed for 425 shipped, if any one in the area wants it, i'll let the sub go for 375

    02A 5speed Tranny from a 1990 corrado, no grindage, comes with semi new clutch
    some one shoot me an offer on it, I just bought a 6speed 02A

    Corrodo Oettieger Grille painted porsche yellow -110

    11" front brakes 9.4" rears, 4x100 complete brake system shoot me an offer, I am getting Grilling 60's

    Nuespeed Exhaust for the Corrado G60 complete from DP back

    if you knew simon you would know he's not about beating eveyone with 300whp ect, he's just out there to have some fun, check out other peoples stuff, and if he beats a few cars then so be it. at least you know he'll be out there if his **** is right

    woo hoo i got the Jetta runing tonight, but there is a loud clacking of the valves,.. hmmm sounds like your car simon. I aint really to sure on how to make it stop any pointers?,.. anyhow all that is left is alighning the linkage,.m so it looks like my getto jetta will be at the gtg this weekend,..... hopefully nuthin will go wrong between now and then

    woops, i assumed those pistons were 8.5:1 CR rated for use with a crossflow head, and that you were going to scrap the x-flow head and slap a 16v head on it.
    btw, sounds fun

    seriously, whats the CR with a 1.816v head on a stock aba? 8.5:1? cause thats pretty cool if that is the case

    evan go to J&T they have an oil addative they use to help valve noise. i've had to use it in my old old 8v a long time ago, it works good, use it for like 400 miles then change the oil again and it should be good for quite some time. i think i had to do it like twice the whole time i had the car, about a year.

    12 more valves and an extra cylinder, plus he's got what 300whp or something right? plus the awd will hook up much better. koko's car is definately pretty damn cool, im jealous

    Hey i got a place in Hanford to have a nice sise gtg, the faimly bisness(Arnolds Tree Service) we have a really big shop, alot of room alot of pavement, we should have a BBQ/GTG out there some time this summer and go to the strip afterward and put the dubs up against the local sence at the strip.

    Just a idea.

    BTW Ricky,. i picked up those boost pipes today and i am going to try and put that bead on them tomaro but i dontknow if it will work the metal might be to thick.

    Dude where are living?I wouldve imagined this wouldve been all over the tex by now.Check out his 415Whp Dyno Run before he changed the turbo.

    its right in between 8.5-8:1 on stock pistons
