This is undoubtedly the best 'ring video I've ever watched. Download it NOW! I rate it 11/10.

I've never felt such speed by watvhing a video before

Faaaaaark! The way it finished was brilliant. It looks like he just got pole position for the 24 hour. He goes past GT Porsches like they are standing still!

I agree Tim, that's one hell of a clip.

I'm going to get to the Nurburgring 24 hour one day. That's a promise. Wanna go?

That was most impressive although he did jump a kerb that would have killed a racecar. Imagine having written graffiti on the ring only to see it immortalised in playstation?

I can't do it this year, I'll aim for next. May/June 2006. It's in my diary.

    Yeah Matt,

The Radical appeared at a Burrows Drive day a few months back for the first time - theya re worth over $90,000...

I hear a rumour that there is another company releasing similar much cheaper later in the year I'm trying to talk my dad into it... power - over 1000hp per tonne or 330kg/350hp

With the launch of its SR8 track monster, Radical has made it its mission to circulate round the Nurburgring in under seven minutes, according to today's Autocar.

The 383bhp track car will, if successful, reclaim the record which Radical grabbed last year with the SR3's 7 minutes 19 seconds. Right now though, the record is in the hands of a privately-owned Donkervoort two-seater with 7 minutes 18 seconds.

Radical director Mick Hyde said that he'd studied the video of the SR3's lap and while he said it was a great lap, "it wasn’t perfect". Hyde said that the SR8 would go faster, and that he was confident that the SR8 could smash the seven minute barrier.

    SR8 SET FOR RING RECORD

Well having watched the same video I'd like to see the PERFECT lap!

The SR3 is about $75K in pounds although for a great track car the JP1 is one to watch. I had a video a while back with a 1.8 20VT powered caterham alike lapping the ring pretty quickly although a GT Porsche went past. The SR3 Turbo would have those for breakfast

Great post Tim, what's your favourite sound? For me it's a toss up between the Gallardo and the Aston. Like I said, I'm never going to buy a demonstrator again.

Toddy, another brilliant contribution: the 1973 Nurburgring Grand Prix won by Jackie Stewart. Amazing, I have never seen any film clips of an F1 race there before.

Did you see the koni advert in pit lane? Wow, it really makes me want to count my blessings to have driven there.

Drifting Hyundais? Scary..... yes, that is a Commodore (although I'm sure it's badged Chevy). I keep seeing Iraq footage with Australian produced Commodores and Magnas (Diamante)!

Those vids are done in Saudi Arabia, and yes you'll see Commodores and Camrys and stuff.

I found the website that hosts them all once, but I'm buggerd if I can find it again. The cars are usually stolen.

I also had a compilation vid just like the one CJ posted, but of all their stacks, and all the times they come sideways down a road at 150km/h and end up in the crowd!
No injuries, but it's insane stuff!

I've been after a copy of fazination for a while and stumbled across this. The PS2 lap is coded to match but is worth a watch. Never has someone lifted less than his lap of the ring. The outside shots (in the full fazination video) show the car is at 90 degrees the whole corner

Well, I always thought GT was impressive. That just confirms it.

Interesting how the graffiti shows up on the game more than in real life.

And how messy the driver of the Porsche was in comparison to the guy that trailed Sabine.

    Another great post.
