Here's a whole bunch of clips from last weekend's MINIkhana at Eastern Creek. These were taken on my Canon G5 so the quality isn't great, but it does give an idea as to what the day was all about. A massive thanks to Gaz for hosting these clips.

    GTI INTERNATIONAL

    Copied from evo

"GTI international came and went last weekend.

Highlights for me were my car lunching 5th gear en route Friday night.. boo.

Here's a sprint video, the first run is my girlfriend getting her bottom wooped by an S2 and the last run is me in her R32 vs mk5 GTI"

  13. 05-14-2005 12:24 AM #258
I like the last bit - your R32 vs MkV GTI

You definately had a much better start - do you know if the GTI was DSG or manual?

This was written by a guy in the UK who owns a mk2 gti and rest assured there were more GTI's in the carpark of this event than are in this country!

Nice vid Robin... I like the drag between the Bug RSi and the old Golf.

That GTi vs R32 answers alot of the GTi guys questions in the last couple of weeks... the R even pulls away at the end. If the car was DSG, the driver has no excuses.

man, my Cooper S (modified) can hand an R32 it's ass on a plate if I get a good start - I really don't see how an R32 could be so much faster than a Golf V GTI in a straight line

Work starts (or started) at 9:45pm... so I don't need to leave before 9:20, and I can spend every minute up until then on Vortex
