Sweet! The best part about it is since you have the steel springs it will always sit just right - the way you set it up to.I bet it handles great!
Where did you get your bumper hole plugs?

I think the bumper hole plugs came of the License Bracket that was installed on the front bumper if I remember correctly. If not, I had them laying around.

So the ride is smooth? Usually lowering a vehicle with springs makes for a rough bouncy ride. Is that not the case?

You're right about lowering with stiffer springs like the H&R setup. Usually a bouncier and stiffer ride but much less body roll in the cornering department. It's a tradeoff but I'm willing to bet many wouldn't like that rough ride.

Your car looks nice and maybe it's just me. But I didn't buy a SUV so it could corner well and have a rough suspension. Remember it weighs 5500lbs. I just don't like the look of a lowered suv. If you wanted something that cornered well and was stiff why not go for a sports car? I understand we all are different in our tastes and I'm not ragging on you just wanted to know the reason.

Looks great! The neat thing about the V8 is its great power band. The larger wheels and lowered supenstion should make its stick like a tank! If you need the off-road abilty its all there also. Enjoy!

The springs only lowered the car moderately. A shorter spring would certainly compromise the ride. But the H&R Springs provide a nice balance. I have heard that the Eibach springs ride a little softer then the H&R Springs.

Thanks for not ragging on me
The performance and look I was going for will not appeal to everyone on these boards. Some will use their Touareg to prodominently off road. Mine will most likely never go off the pavement. I traded my 2003 Jetta and my 2001 Corvette in for the Touareg, so I have had the sports car. With two boys, I needed a little more room then the Jetta could offer. The Touareg fits my size needs, as well as being sporty and quick. Again, may not be for you, but is exactly what I was looking for. And I stay in the VW family.

With the V8 prior to the Suspension upgrade, when I got on the gas the front end would come up, the back end would squat, then we would be on our way. Now it just goes. It handles like a dream. Does not feel like a 5500 LB. vehicle.

Personally I love the look. And I think I understand your reasoning for the hot Touareg. It is like getting the best of both worlds. You could get a Hummer if you were into the off road thing, or a Viper if into the sports car thing, but like many who choose a Touareg you get what I think is a very good compromise. I have also noticed that most aftermarket accessories are aimed at the on road performance rather than off road performance, but either way you go, the Touareg is a remarkable starting place.

The flooring is Kiwi Tile. The best part is when I move the floor goes with me. The tiles snap together. Here is the link.

My wife and I like to lay tile, marble and granite. Maybe I should do a Carerra white marble and black granite floor in my garage. Think it would add good resale to my house?

I suppose it would go well with your platinum sprinklers and that gilded roof. Aw, is this thread going OT or what?

im just wondering, how does a lowered suspension affect the towing of the reg?i tow my s4 around with the reg, so im interested.

I am guessing you are being sarcastic, Spockcat. But personally it sounds like it would be very nice (and expensive).

Though I do not currently have a hitch, I don't think it should affect it. The only change is the hitch point is 2.5" lower then where it started.

Here are a couple off topic links for you Spockcat, in case you were being serious. And yes, it will increase your resale value (If there is a garage fanatic buying your house).
