RSS is already a feature being worked on.![]()

Problem : Frequently, we all log into our forum of interest and go thru several posts and post a question or reply. The several refreshes that any user has to perform seems very exhaustive. eg: If I were not to followup for 5 days, and wish to go back to 5 days of posts , It is not an exciting process for any user.Suggested : How about a RSS feed or atom feed that will enable user to get the forum posts 'live' and without any need for the user to login as it is the case now on the forum.
But of course, if a user needs to reply, he may do so after logging in the site. But for so many casual viewers out there, this may be the best thing. And I also assure you the site hits will surely go up.
I am not sure how your current system supports it. But I am sure this can be supported. Thanks,

Jamie and Fellow VWVortex fanbasers.I think an RSS/XML feed for the front page headlines would be excellent. Especially with the growing popularity of such a service.

awesome, thanks. I keep forgetting most forums are mwerks/fourtitude/swedespeed/triplezoom/mwerks as well. I really need to search more often.

The community forums as well as the help and suggestion forums are shared between all the sites. If you were to replace the "mwerks" in the url with vwvortex or triplezoom you would get the same exact thread![]()

RSS is a protocol, an application of XML, that provides an open method of syndicating and aggregating Web content. Using RSS files, you can create a data feed that supplies headlines, links, and article summaries from your Web site. Users can have constantly updated content from web sites delivered to them via a news aggregator, a piece of software specifically tailored to receive these types of feeds.

I'd like to see an RSS feed of my watched topics. Don't know if it's possible but I know that is the first thing I wanted when google released it's personalized homepages. Just took me this long to actually, you know, say something about it.

RSS has been there behind the scenes, view some of the links above to find the links by hand.
Otherwise, I just created a Greasemonkey user script for the tex, firefox only. Check out the details here:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3046153This will place a RSS icon on the forum pages and in the firefox url locator

I got watched topics on my google homepage.
look for the gadget webclip and add it to your page.
It lets you add any url, and pan around the page so it displays the info you want. Use the url for your personal watched topics page. I had to use 2 gadgets at the same url to make it wide enough. It does work well though.
