What's up everyone. We will be throwing the 4th annual Orchard Beach BBQ (Bronx, NY) this year. It usually goes down on the 3rd week of May, which is the week before Memorial Day. As you know, the beaches 'officially' open on Memorial Day and you have to pay for parking and even more importantly, the picnic areas are PACKED. This year's BBQ will be held on Sunday May 22nd.
Last year we had something like 65-70 cars come to the BBQ, from mk1's to mk4's and audis. It would be cool if we had a HUGE corrado turnout but then again that's up to you to decide if you'd like to come down or not. I wouldn't say drive up from Maryland or drive down from Maine. Realistically, I wouldn't travel more than 2 hours to come to this BBQ. That said, I think it would definitely be worth it if you were driving from as far down Philly, PA or central Jersey, all the way up to upstate Connecticut, 1.5-2hrs away from the city.Many of my friends from CT usually head down to the BBQ every year and like I said, the Jersey crew and LI people always show up as well. Some of those include:
the CCNYC heads which include Dave (zedcorrado), Jebreh (vdubjb), KrazeeKorrado13, etc. Autokreig (Renzo, Brian, Bob, etc), Teddy (tektoo2), Jorge (Outlaw), Elvis, and the rest of the German Squad from Jersey comes out and represents with the best pinchos I ever tasted
. Some of the Aus Der Haken guys come through...Antonio, Marlon (bluesteel), Rick (slickslc), and the rest of em.
The reason I'm posting now is so that it gets stamped into your minds early, real early.
The food list will follow as we get near.
Let me know what you guys think about the time/date. I made it on the same weekend as in previous years, so hopefully everyone can make it to this year's.few pics from previous yrs:

Sounds like it should be nice. I'll definitely be there. I grew up and lived a few minutes away from Orchard beach. I'll start up a cruise from central jersey to head up there.

Morgan is on the grill, and as you notice, we almost had to call the fire department.Adobo sucks? I forgot, all you believe in is salt and pepper to season your food.
