Kudos to you for making an effort to support VW enthusiasts.
Drivers Wanted! That means ALL drivers including drivers of modified VW's. After a productive meeting with our service manager, Rick Arslanian, we want to assure all Drivers that you are welcome here at Boardwalk VW. Among other things, we want you to know we will never remove aftermarket parts from your car without your knowledge. If your aftermarket part is not causing the problem, then you warranty claim will not be affected. Please understand that in some instances, our hands are tied by VW as they are the ones paying your warranty claim not us (if your car is still under warranty). I am not a lawyer but you know there are somethings you just cannot do to your newer VW and expect VW to pay a claim if it directly affects another covered part! We're not talking about the obvious things. If there is a way to HELP YOU OUT and we can work things out in your favor then it is in our best interest to do so. If something is on the border line, we are going to FIND a way to make you happy without lying or cheating VW, or compromising your safety.
Bottom line is, we want the opportunity to earn your service business and future sales business. You can be confident there is an atmosphere of appreciation for the opportunity to serve you here. Things won't always be perfect, but we're looking for a way make it work, not the other way around. It's all in how you look at things! So , yes, we are a MOD FRIENDLY DEALERSHIP!!
We welcome your feedback!

Thank you for your feedback. I am not saying we're better than anyone else, I just don't see why we need to foster an attitude that alienates a huge base of our customers. I don't see the need for the disconnect that has happened between the dealer and the enthusiast. We're not going to make everybody happy, but shouldn't we try? That's all we want, is to try harder! Oh, and for you to come buy new VW's!!!
Thanks, and give me or Rick a heads up personally before you come in as i've told the service director we need to take this new customer base one at a time, so we can monitor their needs and react accordingly. Gratis'
Hey, you matter more than we do. Anything you love is a work in progress, like your car. We might experience a few bumps along the way but as long as we're making progress thats all that matters.
Thanks to the GTI owner/Vortex enthusiast who sent their mom in to buy a Passat tonight...hope she's happy.
Thank you for your business. Chris says Hi! and wants to know if you want to be the first on your block with a modified 2005 New Jetta 2.5??
Our service director believes that part is now out of warranty as the warranty has now gone over 60K. However he suggests calling 1-800-822-8987 (VW Consumer line) and see if they can extend a helping hand as they sometimes will help on these issues. Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
Yes, our parts, service, detail, shuttle service and rental car department are all located on site. I know the layout at the Creek can be a bit frustrating for customers. Hey, we have free cookies too!

Any tech openings on the shop floor or anything techie related work? Need to get my ass off the tex and make something of myself again, hopefully it's VDub related and be a team player again.
You know, I've been toying with that idea for months now. I am sure my owners would get into it, I am wondering about how much space we have as we would still need to conduct business during a show. The Beer is definately out though!! Too bad! I have been thinking about like a Sunday show perhaps later in the year or to celebrate the MK5 GTI release. I'll start bouncing around some ideas.
Hi, I have a question. The turbo on my GTI started to leak oil starting around 35k. I took it to Sunnyvale Volkswagen and have them check it out. They said the car was fine and couldn't trace where the oil was from. They then replace the "turbo pipe" under warranty for me. I took the car back, and drove it till 55k and the oil leak comes back from the same place (Turbo pipe to the Intercooler). I sent my car back to Sunnyvale VW again to have them look it up. This time, they said it is "NORMAL" to have oil leak, clean the turbo pipe and charged me $120 for the labor. I took my car back with all the confusion in my mind. Then I went to my friend’s shop to do the 60k services and was told that the oil leak is back again. The technician took a look at the pipe and suggests to me that it might be the turbo itself started to leak oil. He told me that the oil runs through the turbo to cool it down. So when the seal broke, the oil leaks into the turbo and finally comes out on my turbo pipe. He said, it is too late now to go back to dealership and try to claim my warranty since my car went past the 60k warranty. Is there anyway you guys can help me out with this?
p.s. I went by your dealership last time to get an oil filter from your Parts dept. Mike was the one that serviced me. Cool guy, keep it up and thanks.

I have a couple warranty issues I need taken care of. I live in San Francisco and work in Sunnyvalle, so this works out good for me, it's on the way!
1) Bumper ripple issue on the R32.
2) Driver side visor mirror light not coming on.
3) Climatronic air not filtering to feet area when on floor direction.
4) Shifter spring-pin comes off sometimes which cause the shifter to have no resistence, just slop.
5) Side skirts got sandblasted at the front wheel-wells, bad design, need respray.
Oh yeah, can I get a loaner car for a day if I drop it off in the morning? Thanks.
Hi Carma, sorry it took so long to get back to you as I was off for the last few days. Sounds like your warranty may cover the issues you mentioned (not sure about #4 though, that's iffy). We don't have loaners but if VW agrees to pay your claim and the vehicle needs to be kept overnight they will usually pay for a rental or re-imburse you. We do have Enterprise rent-a-car on site. Call Benny Gomez at 650-364-0100 to schedule an appointment. He is expecting your call. Thanks!
Hey, sorry to hear about that. It's never fun when that happens. Let us know next time your due for a service. Thanks!
