I ordered components for the CD changer adapter for the nav unit. So no, I haven't installed the nav yet. I'm hoping to be able to install it tomorrow night. The only functionality I'll have for now is radio. Fantastic.

Me too!!! My cd player doesn't play cds anymore so I am waiting for a new headunit to arrive at the dealership. I forgot how bad Jackson radio stations suck. I need to install my XM in the GTI.

Jackson's got a few decent ones. Most of what I have to listen to between Biloxi and Starkville is the ubercrap. I get something decent between Hattiesburg and Meridian, but that's about it.

Yeah. I asked the service writer if my headunit had arrived today but nope. I am not sure what I am going to do for tunes coming down to Biloxi on Saturday. Maybe I will rock out to the iPod.

you could always get the dual headphone jack. Or share your headphones if you have the earbuds. Put one in your right ear and the other in Becky's left.

In other news, USPS still hasn't come through on my navi adapter. They're tarnishing their already less-than-stellar record with me even further.

Hopefully they'll get the crap to me before I drive down there on Wednesday. All I have to do is remove the old headunit, put the new harnesses in, splice a couple wires, and put the navi in and I'm done. We already did all the pre-wiring.

Ahh yes USPS. I thought you were telling me Saturday that it was shipped UPS. Now I understand why it is taking so long. USPS doesn't have any kind of guarantee on there delivery dates unlike UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc.

Yep, unfortunately that's the case. It's nice of them to state a "2-3 day average delivery time" on Priority mail when it's going to take at least five days from east TN to north MS.

It looks like I missed out on an interesting weekend here at the apartment...

I'm a little peeved myself. Yeah, you guessed it- another damned day has passed and they can't tell me where my adapter is. The guy that sent it says it was sent last Wednesday, and the postal employee says it should have arrived Saturday at the latest. But nobody can tell me where it is.

I'm going to cough up another $100 that I don't have and order another one. This is the last time I let anyone ship anything of any value to me via USPS. I've had more than one problem with them in the past as well.

Where was that? Did he pull you over just for the tint, or was it a "secondary ticketable offense?" I ask because my neighbor and I were talking about it the other day. I'm thinking it's only a secondary offense, meaning they cannot ticket you for just that.

I actually called my dad (knows too many people back home for his own good ) to see if he knew of an eye doc. who could write me up a "prescription" for window tint.

Yeah, I should be there this week. It'll probably be Wednesday, as I'll hold off on driving down tomorrow in hopes that USPS will finally come through.
