That's what I thought. One thing I noticed was that the car freaked out while the e-brake was on and it was reading speed while spinning the rollers. Would that cause the reading to be off?
Or just that it was so cold.

People that post unreal numbers are even lamer. I remember you guys from Fla. The ones that had some sort of special sauce that you would never tell people about.
Did you ever go and get yourself a legit dyno?

hahahahaha we do have some special sauce!!!! (me)

    8. 01-16-2007 08:32 AM #233
did you mistakenly left the e-brake on? yeah deff redyno it, you should be atleast 155-160whp stock.

Why would the ebrake matter? I always leave mine up when dynoing and do burn outs with it up.
And if it was really cold, your numbers should go up. 140 is low, but maybe it was just the dyno.

    10. 01-16-2007 08:19 PM #235
      Made 214whp @ 5430rpm
      254lb/ft @ 3865 rpm
      HP was above 200 from 4200 - 6500rpm.
I did't have a baseline for the mods as I added them.

    11. 01-17-2007 01:34 AM #236
the 01 made 203/236 wheel w/revo stgII, tt cb, 007, atp fmic, the cat was broken at the time and has since been gutted and also diode mod added.

      Speedworld.com Dyno
      Mods listed in sig,
Car was driven 30 mins to speedworld and was imediatley on dyno, mani was alil toasty, also i think the dp gasket blew up a few weeks ago, which you can hear once i post the video, (car sounds like a jet/ supercharger with no boost loss)
no real cool downs before dyno and it was raining.
      Best Run was 198.39 whp /229.58 tq - {19.6psi}
      Diode & Mbc run was 192.08 whp/ 212.36 tq {4.7v & 21psi} ???

So i have a brand new G-Tech Performance Pro RR Meter...
This is the one you can do everything with, even record when you are autocrossing as well as normal drag strip...and just ask MacGyver...it can make a bomb too out of duct tape, some tooth picks and a sock
But anyway...does anyone trust the numbers that it puts out??? Its calibrated for vehicle weight (with driver in it and whatever else may be in the car, as well as gas)...
I did a short run last night with it just pulling out of my road onto a slightly bumpy road. The manual states that the numbers that G-Tech measures is the NET power. This is less than wheel power due to aerodynamic drag on the vehicle since it is in the open instead of staying still on a dyno...
So the numbers i got were 199.1 hp and 248.5 ft/lbs, dont ask me at what rpm because i dont have the g-tech on me right now.
      anyone think this is reliable???

My bad. The Dyno was run on the 93 octane program. Stock Ko3s turbo. I'm sure if I run 100 octane gas in 100 octane program the numbers would definatly be higher. Also planning on adding a beefed up SMIC in the future so I think that would make a difference as well.
      Mods:
      APR Chipped
      Samco TIP
      Power Gasket (if that matters)
      Forge 007 DV (green spring)
      N75 Race valve
      CAI
      GHL 3" exhaust

Here is the dyno pull from yesterday.

This is with the added K04, Neuspeed TIP and APR K04 93 octane program. If you check my earlier post you will notice a gain of +16 hp and +22 lb-ft, which is what you should expect. Also, given what I ran stock with CAI/Exhaust and chipped I tend to rely on the numbers I have versus what I am seeing other people post. Doing the driveline loss conversion puts me at published numbers for stock (+10 approx for mods) and published APR numbers as well. BTW, the car is up for sale here http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3210662
