That's pretty cool. They didn't use taxpayer money either which is double cool.

Quote » Lowriding Cops Lowriders and police are not usually thought of as one. But check out these cool police car lowriders...
Lowrider people are usually hard working people. The variety of occupations they are involved in range from business positions for large firms or corporations to manual labor positions out on the field.
Of course, law enforcement officials are no exception to the love of lowriding. People like Deputy Dean Mirra of the Broward County Sheriff's Department in Florida, Oakland, California Police Officer Arturo Bautista, Oakland Parks and Recreation Department Official, Jose Ortiz and Lovington, New Mexico Police Officer Willy Kerin all have gone the extra mile to bring lowriding and law enforcement together by building custom police cars without using taxpayers' money.
The result is a mean machine that both children and adults can find interesting, in addition to showing the community that police officers can be "cool" people too!
If your local police department has a custom cruiser, send in photos to dustin.pedder@primedia.com. Photos by Tyson Robertson and Dustin Pedder.

Man...sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived. - Tenzin Gyatso

am i the only one who thinks these are stupid?imagine wheels/tires/suspension like that in an actual emergency situation/chase... not cool at all.
maybe they're just some of their community events cars? otherwise they're pretty dumb. cop cars should be function over form, period.

Haha, looks like the Odessa, TX police have one as well, though not nearly as hot as some of the others:Looks like these have mostly been built by police forces as public relations devices in order to 'reach out' to teens, etc... This one apparently has a "boomin' system" as well.

These are just for show to get to the kids. Try searching google for "Dare police car" for the D.A.R.E. program, I highly doubt those see real police action either

dude read be4 you post.
those are real cop cars. with real cops

hmmm... never seen this before. Tons of cities (thankfully not mine) near my area now outsource their police duties to BSO and I haven't yet seen this lowrider cruiser. I'm sure they use it for "inner-city" relations.

most cop cars aren't "chase" cars anyway. These guys probably aren't making traffic stops, which could result in a chase.

Man I just can't stand lowriders anymore. At one point I thought they were kinda cool....maybe. Now it's all just trash. It doesn't get much more ghetto. Actually, it probably does.

I don't see any "new" styling tricks being done here. These Police cruisers are doing the same old stuff from 20 years ago...maybe you're just getting older![]()

Wow.
Not only does it name the cops, it specifically states they were not built with tax payer money.
