Hi.
my project have been going on for a while, but just the past week a lot of things have happen.
well, short rewind about what allready have happen:
bought the car for approx. 5years ago.I really hated it, it was in my eyes an ugly shaped car, altough I used the car a few years, already from the beginning I started to make a lots of plans for it, but couldn't really start it right away.
When I first started up, I ripped every thing of and sat the carframe on a simple frame with tiny wheels on. ( just to make it moveable)
the frame was modify to allow the car to be tipped sideways, so all the work under the car becamed very easy.
All tectyl and dyrt where scratch away. then I sent the car to and local shop that sanded it. know it turn to be almost 100% rust free.

they primed it with red acidbase which is the same as beeing just on containers that travels oversseas.
some of the plans where:
"Theme: Rally look"
bigbumpers, front and rear in glasfiber
mk3 complete dash and heatpack
half rollcage
corrado front and rear brakes (280/229mm)
rallyfront from mk2
no doorhandles
all clear taillamps ( not m3 lookalike!!!)
wided arches (steel)
tilt'n'slide sunroof
AIR-suspension
the rest is small modification an not to be meantion know. ( little secretes must be kept back)

know, where are we?
I have been doing the car for near 2 years, and it is NOT finnished yet.
a few og the "big plans" have to be done.
the car is back on wheels and suspension, but are not paintet og engine is missing. ( yeah, nothing is told about that)
2L 16v with twin weber carbs 45mm, hp /torque= unknown!
most parts are inhouse and waiting to be fitted.
have taken a few thousand pics to remember myself later on how stupid and money spending a project like this can turn out to bee

I will later post pics from the beginning, but I think you much more would like to see how RA look today???

Re: (rakriste)

why did you leave the small section from the spare tire cutout and not shave the whole thing?

Re: (rakriste)

where were you gonna mount the air tank? in the cab or under the floorpan? seems like you would have the space to tuck it underneith next to the battery.

hmm.. forgotten that part,
yes, the tank and compressor will be placed in the back of the car. on the oposite side of the battery.
I making a own room, so everything will be hidden.
