      Do you think I could super-glue the plastic arm for my sending unit back on? I can't find a sending unit anywhere and I'm sick of having no gas gauge and, as you know, the Mk2 odometer stops working the minute it rolls off the lot.
      I miss my Mk2

      Foamed the doors on the heater box, by the heater core. 180* T-stat, and a rad flush.
      Heat this winter? Finally.

      Added a hop kit to the engine, so I wont hopefully break another front
      motor mount.

      I have to do this also.
      Today I picked up an oil cooler gasket for her and doubled checked that I was correct in my assumption that it was the cause of the puddle of oil in the driveway

      i want to turn my golf into a GTI
      not much upgrede going under the hood .
      just a lil update since the day i bought it.
      -bought it $500
      -busted timing belt and replace it.
      -register and smog it yeah it passed!
      -bought and install aero setup.
      -replace hood, fenders.
      -went to big bumpers.
      -replace whole blue interior for a GTI one.
      -paint some interior parts black.
      -cut my center console to install stereo down there. and taurus cup holder.
      -installed some sound system.
      -bought my GTI badges.
      -got a rear parcel.
      -replace lower arm bushings.
      -bought some rims.
      -lowered it
      -took off the headliner looks better bare (for now)

      Replaced the oil cooler gasket. On a 16v, it's easier to pull out the threaded rod, rather than trying to stretch the hoses [IMG]http://**********************/smile/emthup.gif[/IMG]

      Replaced leaking fuel line going into fuel rail....kinda got inspired by that guy who posted about how 2 of his cars burned down from fuel leaks!!
