made a bit of progress in the last couple days. the weather has been soooooooooooooooo nice, it would be a sin not to be out there doing work. i finished taking everything down to the bare metal. and what did i find? NOTHING! HAHA. just some slightly dented up front floorpans where the car had been jacked up soooo many times in the same spot. but i just GENTLY knocked em back down. but, no rust at all. Hooray for a markII with no rust!
so i got everything primed with a heavy duty outdoor metal primer. the stuff i used is for protecting tin & metal pole barns from rusting due to being exposed to the weather conditions. its a very heavy primer. (thick, i mean.) so like i said, i got everything primed.
after priming everything, i lightly scuffed the primer with a Scotch-pad. after wiping it all down again, i started applying the sealer. and that crap is messy. but going slow and coating the entire surfaces evenly and thoroughly ensures for not only easy clean up, but guaranteed protection. ill snap some pics later on today when i finish up.

Installed the Toywagen pulley, yanked the A/C pump, now working on pulling the ac core, not as easy as i thought
Yeah, it's an 8v. If I wanted a sporty car, I'd buy an R.

Got tired of blowing my rear flares off, so I spun the coils up a bit. Maybe too much . I'm undecided.

I topped up the engine oil, which took over a liter. It's not so long ago that I filled a liter of oil in the engine, but I can't remember the date or how many kilometers the car had done. Today I made a note of it, I filled it to the top line on the dipstick at 261.133 kms.
I also checked the fuel transfer pump according to the description in the Bentley manual. I had expected it to pump 300-400cc in 10 seconds, but it pumped 900cc! I seems that the pump is not broken, but I think I'll retest it when the fuel tank is less than 1/4 full, because that is when I have had what I think is fuel issues.

They ride real nice if properly hight adjusted to the springs. My front end can go down another 6 threads witch would lay my k frame almost on pavement. Just to give you an idea. As for the rears. The lower you go the looser the stock springs become. Causing a lot of rattle and noise. New springs would be recommended if your looking for low. Although, living in Calgary for 28 years myself. I would not recommend it with roads around there. Especially the south end.

Anyways, going to get an alignment tomorrow so my steering wheel won't look like this: (/), and then new ebrake cables for the rear disc setup are going in this coming weekend, maybe along with a valve cover gasket. I'm just glad I didn't have to sell her.

lol, i've been running around for 6 months with an OE passenger seat and a leather driver's seat, so I know how you feel.
I've finally ordered that carpet from stockinteriors.com, "patiently" awaiting it now.
SPEAKING OF WHICH.....if anyone is gonna scrap their car, I *REALLY* need that sender unit out of the fuel tank, can't go on long trips because of the whole "I don't know how much gas is in this thing" issue.

Pulling the mounting brackets off the trans and even the p/s axle flange makes it really quick and simple to get it back in. Also, angle the motor down towards the d/s of the car. It can be done without removing those things, but if you're having trouble it would definitely help.

Bought it for 500€ (620$). 91 year, with power steering, sunroof, that's pretty much it. 1.6 51kW
Not much rust, runs fine ( drove 125 miles to home from where I bought it, 0 problems ), although the fuel filter needs replacing. Interior is very mint.

So not too long ago I took my fender flares off and discovered my rear fenders were rotted out.
Then, because of the rot, my fenders basically acted like a serrated knife when i would hit a bump big enough to cause rubbing (which is absurd just because I have like 1.5" of wheel gap in the rear)
My choices came down to;
Buy replacement panels and have the body work done to have them replaced.
or
Cut off large pieces of metal and cover it with the flares.'
H20 is not too far down the road, and there is a lot of other stuff I want to do to my car before the show, and the cost of the body work would have required pretty much every dollar I have to spend on my car until then.
So I chose option number 2.
Personally, I think it turned out amazingly. Even though we ended up using bolts instead of rivets (riveter wasnt working, it was 3am)
